# ML0001 Absolute basics for career
No finals, all online LAMS, video assignment
Just get this thing over and done with, the video is the most tedious thing of the module, but just do it. But mind you, they really do watch all videos, so put some effort yeah?

Midterms and Finals, All MCQ, 3hour lects, 2 profs
The asian (local?) prof is much much much better and a really good prof.
General consensus is that, the second prof... he tries, he is passionate, but he really can't lecture well. Thank goodness he uploads concise versions of his notes.
USe the question bank, study well, and it should be okay. Just see how you feel after the finals and base off that whether you want to SU.
#CS8900 GLOBAL CINEMA
2 short report assignments, mini (very chill) quiz, Finals, chill lectures EDIT: I have been told that the prof has changed?/the prof has geared more to China movies aka content changed - but no certain if true.
I love the mod, because it's on average interesting, and the main thing is the prof is good.
Usually a 3 hour session every
week where he'll go through at least one main movie, and go through the
specific links to the society the Prof chooses to cover that week. The
reports are not too hard as content covered is not too much. Its mainly
your own analysis and interpretation.
One tip is - he has movies that he
needs you to either dl and watch your own, or go for his screenings at
night. It gets tiring to watch 2 hour long movies - but at least wiki
key points and know the main charas! It is enough for answering his questions minimally.
It's especially interesting when the prof (he's korean) shares his own personal take and the views of his society.

Why did I pull this down. I was not prepared for this amount of content as a year 1.
Mid terms, Finals, Lect and tuts,
I got the prof as my tutor too. She is... a bit hard to understand really. And if you want answers, you must ask her directly to clarify. But she is a good-ish prof. Just really a bit harder to understand as she answers questions like a steamroller of information.
