Elective:
CM8001 - Impact of Chemistry on Society
3au STS by Prof felipe garcia (i hope i spelt his name correctly) (NICEST PROF)
Pass/fail mod: PASSED
Review: VERY Worth taking. Relatively easy and chill. TAKE IT IF YOU WANT TO CLEAR AUS.

YEP, this sem i headed for all the pass/fail mods I could find. Initially, alchemy first choice, impact second. But truthfully, i realise Impact is a better choice as it is much more chill and alchemy probably would have required more in depth studying and memorisation - not worth a pass/fail in my opinion.

FORMAT: TBL (team based learning) style mod (even though it's held in an LT )(no choice - according to prof, the school couldn't give him a better venue with enough space for him).
Before every session, prof uploads the content package for the week, which contains videos, ppt, and example qns + answers. (Rmb to read the e.g. qns, they help a lot - even nif you didn't read the content).
During class, we start off with IRA - individual quiz MCQ questions, then the TRA - team quiz. TRA is basically where your team now discusses the ans to the qns, and use a scratch card to fill up your ans. The points for TRA is 4, 2, 1, 0, where by each time you scratch open a wrong ans your points attained decreases respectively. Final part of the session is Application questions, usually a range of 2 to 5 written questions, discussed with team and submitted both hard and soft copy.

Main bulk of the mod's marks are from your group project aka your videos + blog. (( my team's blog http://blogs.ntu.edu.sg/cm8001-2016-g01/  ))

Breakdown of percentage: (precise % will be updated)
About 5% is your IRA, individual MCQ quizzes that is done every single session.
A larger percentage is you TRA, team MCQ quiz.
Main bulk of % is video + blog
30%  Finals (4 written and 80 MCQS) ( 80 sounds a lot but actually, every session we do 25 qns in 15 minutes so.....in an hour plus that's reasonable)(A lot of us just left the Exam Hall early, once the 1 hour mark was done)

BS1006
3au
(B+) (expected)
FORMAT: All multi-answers (can be 1 or more options) MCQS

BS1007
3au
(B-) (I feel like I could've done better)

BS1008
3au
(B+) (I feel like I could've done better - but I accept this)
Simple statistics, aka Math paper module. Remember to do the homework tutorials.
I missed a few lectures (because of timing and schedule) but I spammed catchup and did check now and then during the term, so not as bad.

BS1100
3au Lab only mod (A-)

FORMAT: Lab session reports, Practical test, Theory test.
=Theory test is pretty much okay, it could be better but so long you've done the small quizzes online for each session, you're okay.
=Practical is very simple. 5 stations, testing the basic skills they teach. BUT keep in mind the time. I think I dropped a bit due to lack of time for my last station in the practical test. Sigh.

GC0001 - Sustainability
1au online
PASSED
This module is pretty much the usual 1 au GER. Do with friends to ensure everyone doesn't waste their MCQ answers. I reccomend you finish it as fast as you can, so when it comes to midterms and finals periods you don't have extra things to worry about.
It will have a mandatory 2 days break between each completed section (a measure to make sure people don't spam finish too fast I guess) . Other than that, easy.

HY0001 - Ethics
1AU online
Pass/fail mod: PASSED
I pulled this module down from some other year. To use up Aus and to free my time next time. It is pretty interesting.

Marks are from the individual written essay response. You are either in team A or team B. Team A has to choose from Mod 1- 6 a topic and then answer a 300 word essay to the topic of discussion. Submit. Then by the next deadline, review a peer and then you're done.
Team B is just a different start and end deadline, for Mods 7- 11. Same 300 word essay and peer review.

Don't miss the deadlines, remember to click SUBMIT, and easy peasy you're done.

Ciao
